Last week, our Co-Founders had the opportunity to engage with students at Boğaziçi University, taking part in two academic sessions that exemplified the value of bringing real-world industry experience into the classroom.

These interactions highlighted how meaningful dialogue between academia and industry can enrich learning while grounding theory in practical application.

Supply Chain Transformation in Practice — Technology, Data and Real-World Use Cases

One of the sessions focused on supply chain transformation, exploring how digital technologies are reshaping end-to-end visibility, resilience, and decision-making across global value chains. Through real-world use cases, we discussed how organisations are leveraging data, AI, and emerging technologies to move beyond fragmented operations toward more integrated, adaptive supply networks. The conversation emphasised not only technology adoption, but also the strategic and organisational capabilities required to turn digital initiatives into sustainable business value.

Business Law — From Theory to Practice

The other session centred on business law, combining career insights with hands-on case discussions. Students examined practical contract scenarios and explored how legal structures underpin commercial relationships, risk management, and long-term value creation. The session reinforced the importance of understanding legal fundamentals as a core business competency — especially in complex, fast-moving regulatory and commercial environments.

Why This Matters

At Synthia Advisory, we strongly believe that exposing students to real-life cases, implementation challenges, and cross-disciplinary perspectives helps bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. These exchanges foster critical thinking, contextual understanding, and a more holistic view of how technology, regulation, and business strategy intersect in the real world.

We greatly value opportunities to contribute to such collaborative learning environments and look forward to continuing our engagement with academic institutions to support the next generation of leaders.
